Elevator Installation

Advertising now more than ever has entered the public and private realm. From this, I drew the idea to force the viewer to be consumed by slogans. Advertising, when taken out of context and analyzed, seems almost ridiculous. To exemplify these phrases that most Americans would recognize I set them in bold Helvetica. The most common typeface used in the corporate world.

The elevator became my choice of space because the viewer is forced to address this wall of phrases. What also worked in advantage to using that space were the mirrors on the ceiling and doors opposite the wall. So even when the viewer was turned they were still forced to address these corporate slogans. All masked in the same tone.
